NAME: Onaga Chinaecherem Martina
STATE OF ORIGIN: Enugu
INSTITUTION ATTENDED: Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu.
COURSE STUDIED: Chemical Engineering
PLACE OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT (PPA): Ministry of Lands, Survey & Urban Development, Asaba.
CAMP EXPERIENCE: Fun. Turned out to be my best ever, thanks to the camp officials.
OPINION ABOUT PLACE OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT: From the commissioner, permanent secretary, directors to staff members, they are all very accommodating. Corps members are treated well.
WHAT NYSC HAS TAUGHT ME: Patience, endurance and self-confidence, as well as provided me with exposure and the opportunity to socialise with people from others backgrounds.
BEST EXPERIENCE: A visit by the Director General of the NYSC to the Issele-Uku Orientation Camp. Also, when Delta State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Urban Development distributed rice to all corps members working with them.
WORST EXPERIENCE: Waking as early as 1am out of anxiety as lateness to parade is not tolerated.
OPINION ABOUT DELTA: Simply the best state to live in the country. It is very calm and the people are accommodating. However, the cost of living appears to be on the high side.
ADVICE TO FELLOW CORPS MEMBERS: Stay focused. Success does not come easy. Having worked hard to get here, you must cling on to that spirit. Always appreciate our parents, family members, guardians, and all those who saw us through and may yet be there for us in the future.
