THE Delta State Permanent Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku came alive with colour, energy, and cultural pride as the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 Inter- Platoon Cultural Carnival took centre stage.
The annual event, a long-standing tradition of the scheme, celebrated Nigeria’s rich diversity and the unifying spirit of the corps members.
This year’s carnival was hailed as one of the most vibrant in recent memory, offering a spectacular display of traditional music, dance, and attire.
Among the competing platoons, Platoon 5 emerged as the undisputed stars of the event, wowing the crowd and judges alike with their electrifying performances.
Dressed in resplendent traditional regalia, they showcased Nigeria’s heritage through enthralling dances, rhythmic chants, and captivating cultural expressions. Their outstanding creativity, coordination, and passion earned them not just the trophy but also the admiration of all in attendance.
The atmosphere was electric, with corps members, camp officials, and distinguished guests fully immersed in the festivities. The State Coordinator, Mr. John Vandi T. Kwaghe, commended the corps members for embracing the essence of unity in diversity.
He urged them to uphold the values of the scheme beyond the camp and extended his gratitude to Signature, the event’s sponsor, for their support.
Kwaghe also hinted at future collaborations to further strengthen the patriotic and humanitarian spirit within the state.
