A socio-political group, Oshimili South Youths (OSY) has celebrated one of their mentors and political guidance, Barr Ikechukwu Maduemezia, who marked his birthday amid pomp and pageantry.
They said that Barr Maduemezia has shown youthful leadership and embraced youths of the area in all his dealings.
One of the OSY leaders and Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Comrade Enweluzo Chukwuka Collins, during a grand get-together to celebrate the politician, said they were gathered to demonstrate solidarity with Barr Maduemezia.
Comrade Enweluzo promised that as members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), they would propagate the MORE Agenda of the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and ensure that the grassroots enjoy governance in PDP administration.
The PDP Youth Leader of Oshimili South Local Government Area, Mr Felix Ebo explained that they were celebrating Barr Maduemezia, a member of Civil Service Commission (CSC), because he is their leader and inspirator.
In addition, the Coordinator of MORE for Delta Youth in Oshimili South, Comrade Onochie Godwin Olisemeka said that “On this special day, we the Oshimili South Youth join in celebrating a remarkable leader, a visionary and inspirational personality”.
Commenting, a former Arewa Youth Leader, Hon. Zakari Yusuf said that “Barrister Ikechukwu Maduemezia’s unwavering support and commitment to youth development is a great beacon for all aspiring young Deltans.
On his part, Edozie Chukwurah assured of their unflinching loyalty and support to Maduemezia, and readiness to promote the ideals of the group.
Others who were present at the celebration include the Yoruba community youth leader, OSY President, Comrade Oba Vincent, OSY Woman Leader, Ifeanyi Okonweze, some PDP ward excos, and members of Christian community.
