In a significant display of support for women’s empowerment, the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen Oluremi Tinubu, has provided financial assistance to 1,000 women in Delta State through her Renewed Hope Initiative. At the exercise which took place in Asaba over the weekend, the wife of the Delta State Deputy Governor, Ezinne Catherine Onyeme, representing Mrs Tinubu, charged Delta women to take advantage of the empowerment initiative to improve financial stability and boost the local economy. “This programme is designed to empower women and equip them with the necessary resources to thrive in their communities,” Onyeme added.
On behalf of the recipients, Mrs Elizabeth Njoku expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sen Tinubu for her generosity, pledging to use the funds for their intended purpose. “This support will have a significant impact on our lives and help us achieve our goals,” Njoku affirmed.
The event concluded with the presentation of cash gifts to the beneficiaries, accompanied by a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
