Okorodudu Pledges His Unwavering Support To DPPC Board

The Executive Director of Projects, on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, has affirmed his steadfast commitment and support to the Board and Management of Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC).

Dr. Okorodudu made the pledge when the Board and Management of Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation Board paid him a courtesy call at the DESOPADEC corporate head office in Warri.

While promising his support, Chief Okorodudu said, “I will do all I can to support the new board, whatever it is that we did to take Pointer to its current height will be sustained. I am still actively working for The Pointer Newspaper.”
“I will pull my weight at all times to promote The Pointer Newspaper. I cannot abandon a paper that I was part of building. I will appeal to the government that Pointer is the only paper that markets Delta to the world.

He commended the Board, for their support while he was the Chairman of the Board saying, “the success of the Pointer Newspaper cannot be attributed to me alone. We did a lot of transformation in the Pointer. The Board was an epitome of unity, they fully supported me. They performed so well.”

Chief Okorodudu also commended the past GM of the Pointer Mr. Godfrey Ubaka for his financial prudence and dedication to the job.

Responding to a request from Mr. Harold Ojji, a member of the DPPC Board, Chief Okorodudu advised him to write formally to the Managing Director of DESOPADEC in order to obtain the necessary information.

Dr. Okorodudu said there is a need to promote the developmental strides of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in DESOPADEC, saying, “Governor Oborevwori has proven himself as a hardworking governor. In less than two years, he has performed miracles in the state. He is a man of miracles and grace.

“Look at the pockets of projects across the state, you will see that the Governor has done well.” Chief Okorodudu said.

Earlier the immediate past General Manager of The Pointer Newspaper, Mr Godfrey Ubaka, commended the Executive Director of Projects on his appointment and his support to the growth and repositioning of the newspaper while seeking more partnership from him.

“I want to commend Chief Okorodudu on his new appointment. He is a father who came to turn around DPPC which has been obscured for many years.”
He described him as a hardworking fellow, a leader par excellent and selfless leader.

“We don’t celebrate him as an individual but instead celebrate his values, principles and integrity. We are thankful he is on a bigger platform where he can impact more communities.

Mrs. Rosemary Nwaebuni, the current general manager of The Pointer Newspaper, expressed her gratitude to Chief Okorodudu for his leadership role in transforming DPPC.

She appealed for support and collaboration in his new role as EDP DESOPADEC.

In the same vein, Mr. Harold Ojji a member representing the Ministry of Information on the DPPC Board, appealed for the establishment of a partnership between DPPC and DESOPADEC. He also requested a comprehensive list of all ongoing and completed projects from 2023 till date in order to promote the governor’s development strides in the oil producing communities through its medium.
