THE World Bank has announced that a ‘supervision mission’ would be sent next month in response to the under-performance of a $500 million loan initially aimed at improving Nigeria’s electricity distribution sector.
According to the latest “Implementation Status & Results Report” for the loan project obtained from the World Bank, this mission, scheduled from July 8 to July 12, 2024, comes in response to the persistent challenges and underwhelming progress of the Nigeria Distribution Sector Recovery Program (DISREP).
