- Commends Olisa, Egbo For Quality Projects

The Executive Director of Projects on the Board of DESOPADEC Chief Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu has commended the ethnic representatives of Isoko and Ndokwa nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC for attracting star projects to their mandate areas.
Dr Okorodudu gave this commendation today when he and his team continued the inspection tour across DESOPADEC mandate areas.
He was accompanied by the Member representing Ndokwa ethnic nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC. Dr. Charles Olisa and the Member representing Isoko ethnic nationality Chief Victor Okemena Egbo.
Some of the projects inspected in Isoko North includes Solar Powered Street Light, 500meter drain along Old Iyede Road, Oghara-Iyede Town Hall.
In Isoko South, Installation of 300kva transformer in Odoro Road, Ongoing Construction of Ithirikpe Road in Irri, and renovation of six-classroom block with an ICT center at St Micheal College, Oleh.
Meanwhile in Ndokwa East, the EDP inspected Installation of solar power Street Lights in Dr Charles Olisa street to Ilide and Pilot Road, as well as in Ashaka. Additional project includes the construction of Police Station with Police staff quarters in Aboh and Construction of 10 lock up shops in Ogbe Isemele
During the inspection in Iyede, Isoko South local government area, commended Chief Victor Egbo and the Executive Director of Finance and Administration Chief Oghenekome Okpobor for attracting key projects that are beneficial to Isoko nation.
“I must express my profound gratitude to the Executive Director of Finance and Admin and the Honourable Commissioner representing Isoko Nation on the board. These two individuals have distinguished themselves in service, justifying their appointments,”
He praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his strategic appointments, emphasizing that the governor selects individuals based on merit and competence.
“The job on the street lighting is done according to specification. I must give kudos to Chief Victor Egbo, who hails from this area and has been effectively representing Isoko Nation on the board. He, along with other committed leaders, has provided effective supervision from inception to completion. Now, the project is ready for commissioning,” Okorodudu stated.
At Oghara Iyede Town Hall in Isoko North the Executive Director of Project, expressed satisfaction with the job done so far, stating “I commend the contractor because, in many projects, there are often displeasures that lead to feelings of anger and irritation.
However, since our inspection, we have been truly impressed with the quality of supervision provided by our representatives, including the commissioners representing various ethnic nationalities.
“The quality of the construction, including the building and its fencing, is commendable. The straight lines, well-plastered surfaces, and well-maintained environment reflect the exceptional supervision that has been evident throughout the process
While inspecting the newly installed 300 kva transformer on Odoro Road in Oleh, Chief Okorodudu suggested that awards be given to DESOPADEC commissioners and staff who excel in project execution and public service. “This inspection allows us to evaluate performance and acknowledge those who set the benchmark,” he said.
He acknowledged Chief Engr. Daniel Omoyibi (DAMOTEK) for spearheading the transformer installation to address local power issues: “This initiative originated from him, and we are truly grateful.
At St. Michael College in Oleh, Dr. Okorodudu reiterated his commitment to enhancing the quality of education. He expressed his readiness to support the school beyond DESOPADEC’s involvement. “Please inform me of the challenges faced by this school. I will engage with the state government through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to ensure that necessary assistance is provided. Quality infrastructure and disciplined educators are essential.
Dr. Okorodudu also applauded the cooperation of the Isoko people, noting that unlike in the past, when contractors faced resistance, these projects were smoothly executed due to the community’s support. “The people of Isoko Nation have shown themselves to be peace-loving and development-oriented, and their collaboration with the contractors has ensured the successful implementation of the DESOPADEC projects,” he concluded.
At the Aboh Police Station in Ndokwa, Okorodudu praised DESOPADEC Board and the Member representing Ndokwa ethnic nationality Dr. Charles Olisa for his commitment to community development, calling the project a “star project” that should be replicated across Delta State.
“DESOPADEC is fortunate to have capable and dedicated representatives like Dr. Olisa Charles, who personally supervises projects and ensures transparency,” he stated
Highlighting the importance of the police station to the community, Okorodudu said, “Without security, there can be no peace, and without peace, there’s no development. The Nigeria Police Force deserves this support.”
He urged DESOPADEC Board to establish at least six similar facilities across the state’s central districts, and the Nigeria Police Force to preserve the facility’s long-term functionality.
Earlier during the inspection Chief Victor Egbo commended the Governor Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the Board for their support of infrastructure development across Isoko Nation.
He directed the contractor in charge of renovating St Michael College Oleh to remove and re-roof the building to meet quality standards. Stating that if he fails to comply within two weeks, the contract will be revoked and awarded to a new contractor.
He further passed a vote of confidence on the principal of St Michael College for her dedication to the school.
Also Dr Charles Olisa, stated that the project is in line with the MORE agenda of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to enhance security in the state He reassured the residents of Ndokwa Nation that DESOPADEC is committed to fulfilling its mandate through impactful and significant projects.

Highpoint of the inspection was when Chief Okorodudu alongside Dr Charles Olisa visited the Obi of Aboh, HRM, Obi Oputa III at his royal palace in Aboh, Ndokwa East Local Government Area.

During this visit, the traditional ruler offered prayers for the Executive Director and his team, invoking divine blessings and prosperity upon them.
