PWAN Estate: Land Buyer Petitions Delta Police Over Alleged Forceful Entry, Malicious Damage

A Deltan, Engr. Osemele Theophilus Marshal has petitioned the Delta State Police Command over alleged forceful and illegal entry and malicious damage on his land located in Max Height Property and Business Solution, Admiralty Drive, Umuedi, Off Ibusa Expressway, Asaba, Delta State.

According to the petition dated March 5, 2025, signed by his lawyer, Barrister Maureen Ugwuiyi, he called on the police to investigate the matter and ensure that justice prevailed at the end of the day.

The petitioner said that he bought the land from PWAN Max Property and Business Solution since January 2021 and upon full payment, he was issued a deed of conveyance and then took possession.

He said surprisingly, on March 4, 2025, he discovered that someone forcefully entered the land and caused malicious damage and erected a fence on the land.

Upon this discovery, the petitioner contacted the Surveyor, Mr. Hillary and the General Manager of PWAN, Dr. Augustine Onwumere, but they allegedly reacted differently, which indicated that something illegal had happened, amounting to a criminal offence, hence the petition.

The petitioner said since he is a law-abiding citizen, he would not seek self-help that might result to breakdown of law and order, hence the petition to the police to seek justice.

Speaking to The POINTER, the petitioner drew the attention of the public to shoddy deals by some estate agents, warning the public to be careful so as not to lose their hard-earned monies.

He is therefore calling on the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olufemi Abaniwonda to wade into the matter so that he can get his plot of land back.
