THE relationship between President Bola Tinubu and the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori would continue to attract dividends of democracy to all Deltans.
The Director-General, Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Oghenesivbe gave the assurance in a live radio public affairs programme, assuring that the visit of the nation’s First Lady, Sen Mrs Olufemi Tinubu would attract federal presence for the benefit of the state.
The bureau chief said politics and visionary political craftsmanship is about networking across board, adding that Governor Oborevwori knows his onions in all ramifications.
Oghenesivbe, who is also the Public Relations Executive said the good governance strides of Governor Oborevwori has up-scaled the reputation of the state, such that local and international investors now have confidence to invest in the state, currently the fourth largest economy in Nigeria.
He assured that the visit of Sen Tinubu to the State would attract more federal projects and socioeconomic development to complement the good governance strides of Governor Oborevwori. “Governor Oborevwori is determined to upgrade Delta from the fourth to the first largest economy in Nigeria through multifaceted good governance strategies anchored on realistic reforms, economic remodelling, and prudent management of state resources, accountability and transparency.
“He is focused on achieving his set goals for Delta, as can be seen from his result-oriented political bridge building across the board, and that includes his robust relationship with President Tinubu and governors across the country, irrespective of political affiliation.
“The economic remodelling of Nigeria by Mr President is already flowing down like milk and honey to Delta in multifaceted dimensions. Governor Oborevwori will continue to leverage the state’s robust economy to advance Delta till May 29, 2031.
“Recently, Mr President delegated Governor Oborevwori to represent him at the Flag-Off ceremony of the phase 2A access road of the Niger Bridge, revealing good politics anchored on patriotism, progressive reasoning and pragmatic leadership.
“It is crystal clear that the visit of the nation’s First Lady to Delta State will attract more federal presence in terms of infrastructure and socioeconomic development. This is good for Delta,” he said.
