Oshimili South PDP Takes Campaign To Oko

Ahead of the July 13 local government election in Delta State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oshimili South Local Government Area has taken its campaign to Oko kingdom, covering Amakom, Anala and Ogbele.

The campaign trail  headed by the Director General, Hon. Darlington Ijei was graced by top leaders of the party, the immediate past chairman of Oshimili South local Government Area and the party’s flag bearer, Hon. Kelvin Obi Ezenyili; Hon. Ambrose Okakwu and member representing Oshimili South in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, the Special Adviser on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Edwin Uzor; the party’s chairman in the local government area, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, Hon. Obusom Chuks and numerous others. While addressing the people at Ward 1 (Oko Ogbele), the ward Chairman, Hon. Obi Onyeka commended all PDP faithful, who despite their tight schedules, graced the campaign rally and equally solicited for their support to the party, assuring the leaders that they would vote massively for Ezenyili.

Onyeka commended Chief Edwin Uzor, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji for holding the party together, promising that he would do everything possible to ensure victory for PDP because the party had prioritized the people’s welfare.

Speaking during the event, the immediate past chairman of Oshimili South Local Government Council and  also the flag bearer of the party, Hon. Obi Ezenyili said that he would consolidate on his past achievements, soliciting for the people’s support in the forthcoming election.

Earlier, the traditional head of Ogbele, Umu-Oko and Odifu quarters, Chief Okakwu Iyasele through a spokesperson pleaded with the PDP candidate to extend the rural electrification project to Odifu quarters, provide accommodation for teachers and nurses serving in the community and provide access roads.

An award of excellence  was presented to Hon. Bridget Anyafulu for her effective representation in the State Assembly.
