2027: Oborevwori’ll Emerge Consensus PDP Candidate In Delta ––Oghenesivbe

Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will have a smooth sail into his second tenure in 2027, judging from his monumental achievements which are expected to scale up before the general elections. Director General of the State Bureau for Communications and Orientation, Dr Fred Oghenesivbe gave the assurance in Lagos during an interview on radio.

He said Governor Oborevwori, for obvious reasons anchored on patriotism, credible leadership, political bridge building and excellent performance in office, would emerge as a consensus governorship candidate in the forthcoming general elections.

Oghenesivbe pointed out that the good people of Delta State are very eager to sustain the unprecedented level of development being experienced under the Oborevwori administration.

In the power sector, Oghenesivbe said Governor Oborevwori recently activated the process that would eventually light up the three senatorial districts by signing the State Power Sector Bill into Law, pointing out that electricity is one of the major drivers of any economy. He assured that the state government will continue to do the needful to drive the power sector agenda to fruition within the life span of Governor Oborevwori’s administration. The Orientation Bureau Chief said infrastructure development has been in the front burner of the governor’s deliberate efforts to build durable roads, adding that the reconstruction of Ughelli-Asaba highway, as well as the ongoing upgrading of Warri Township Stadium to a world class sports facility had provided thousands of jobs for Deltans. He said upon completion, Warri Stadium shall produce more stars that would make the state proud at both national and international sports competitions, and attract huge revenue for the state in multifaceted dimensions.

Oghenesivbe said Governor Oborevwori is focused on fulfilling his electioneering campaign promises to the good people of Delta State, and that time is probably too early for the governor to deploy substantial energy into electioneering politics, assuring that at the appropriate time, the political drum beats shall sound, and Deltans would rally round their performing governor for a second tenure in office.
