Foremost Urhobo socio – political association, Urhobo Peoples Integrity Organization (UPIO) has backed Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
This was contained in a statement issued by Dr (Olorogun )Ebenezer Okorodudu ( JP ) and Chief Barr Jerry Eruvbedede, (National President and National Secretary of UPIO respectively ) at an emergency meeting held at the Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area residence of Dr Okorodudu on Thursday 24th April, 2025.
The statement while calling on PDP members and Deltans to do same , explained that the reasons given by the PDP stakeholders were cogent enough for the defection, as it vowed that it will follow where ever direction Governor Oborevwori goes in the politics of Delta State and indeed Nigeria.
The statement reiterated UPIO ‘ s vote of confidence on Governor Oborevwori and also promised it’s unalloyed loyalty and support for the governor in 2027 general elections. ‘ Wherever Governor Oborevwori goes, we will go ‘ the statement added.
