As part of efforts to cushion the effect of the economic hardship on Indigenes of oil producing communities, Total Energies Marketing Nigeria PLC has trained Five Indigenes of Koko community in Warri North Local Government Area in hairdressing, Makeup artists, and fashion designing.
The five youths from Koko community were trained for one year in the Total Energies Marketing Nigeria PLC Skill Aguisition Program.
The youths trained in hairdressing, Makeup artists, and fashion designing, were presented with Starter Packs including payment of two years rent for their Shops.
According to the Managing Director of Total Energies marketing Nigeria PLC Dr. Samba Seye, represented by Mrs Adesua Adewole said the programme is a sustainable youth development program where youths of its host communities are trained in vocations of their choice ranging from welding and Fabrication, furniture making, catering, hairdressing and makeup, Artistry, Fashion and designing, Fish farming, Computer studies as well as DJ services.
He Congratulated the graduands and implored them to use the items to better life.
Acting Chairman of Warri North local government, Anigoro C.O, State coordinator of Nigeria Midstream and Down stream Petroleum Authority Engr Victor Owhodiasa represented by Dr Sunday Mavel, Chairman Koko community management Authority Engr Oniyeburutan, DPO Koko Division SP lukman Olaogun and the youth chairman of Koko Daniel Adure, praised the sponsor and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity given to them.
The Beneficiaries, who could not contain their joy, thanked the company for the life changing empowerment, promising not to disappointed their benefactors
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of certificates and starter packs to 2 hairdressing and Makeup artists, and 3 fashion designers.
