The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithful and other residents of Asaba, Delta State capital have been enjoined to come out enmass to welcome the party leaders as they visit Oshimili South Local Government Area for a formal campaign flag-off, ahead the July 13 local government elections.
The campaign will hold on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Oshimili South Arcade, Nnebisis Road, Asaba, beginning from 12 noon.
In a statement, yesterday, the Chairman of the Publicity Sub-Committee of the PDP Campaign Council, Oshimili South Local Government Area, Mr. Tobechukwu Okonkwo, said that arrangements were in top gear to give a rousing welcome to the visitors and guests.
He noted that Oshimili South is a major PDP stronghold in the state and they were ready to exhibit a massive flag-off of the election campaigns that will guarantee total victory for the party in the July 13 elections.
Okonkwo called on party faithful, traders, community leaders, youths and women leaders, social groups, transporters, including tricycle riders, and other interest groups to come out for the rally.
According to him, the event will be used to send necessary signals that the party is prepared to remain ahead of other political parties in the area.
