As arrangements are in top gear for the flag-off of campaign for the July 13 local government elections in Oshimili South Local Government Area, the Coordinator of the Publicity Sub-Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, Mr. Tobechukwu Okonkwo has declared that the party was determined to ensure victory for its chairmanship candidate, Chief Obi Ezenyili and the councilors in the 20 wards of the area.
Mr. Okonkwo, in a statement, yesterday, stated that tomorrow’s campaign flag-off at the Oshimili South Arcade at 11.30am will be a signal to the opposition that PDP was ready to clinch the positions.
According to him, besides the popularity of the party among faithful and residents of the local government area, the party had a credible chairmanship candidate, Chief Ezenyili, who had demonstrated leadership in his first tenure.
He pointed out that Chief Ezenyili, in his first tenure, performed beyond expectations and gave the party ingredients to support its drive for a landslide victory in the election.
Okonkwo explained that apart from his leadership prowess and unparalleled acumen, Chief Ezenyili has substantial projects executed during his first tenure to justify his choice as candidate and chance of victory at the polls.
The coordinator called on the people and residents of Oshimili South local government area to be present at the campaign flag-off ceremony and join the party to ensure victory for Chief Ezenyili and all the PDP candidates for councilor.
