THE General Overseer of Help and Love Ministry, Pastor Joel Odozi, has said that marriage will always succeed if husband and wife play their roles with the fear of God.
He made the remarks during the family day and thanksgiving celebration of the church at Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State.
The cleric said marriages were failing today because many couples neglected their roles, appealing to such couples to anchor their union on God and play their roles effectively.
Pastor Odozi appealed to Christians to shun actions that could truncate their marriage, adding that they should avoid fight and quarrel and hand over their marriage to God.He noted that most Christians serve God and at same time serve idols, describing the situation as unfortunate, as many families are no longer faithful to God.
While saying that the family was so important, he opined that there will be no society without families.
He said many people have lost the control of their families because they failed to allow God to take charge, appealing to such people to allow God to be in charge of their families.
He said there was no family without crises, but the ability of the couples to apply the wisdom of God will make their marriage succeed.
Odozi urged Christians to worship God in truth and in spirit and shun actions that could rob them of Heaven at the end of their sojourn on earth.
