World Igbo Cultural, Heritage Summit To Inaugurate LOC

THE chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the World Igbo Cultural, Language, Tourism, History, and Heritage Summit, Apostle Patrick Nwanze, has called on all Igbo-speaking people to attend the inauguration of the LOC committee members for the summit slated for Saturday, 27th July, 2024.

Nwanze said that the highly anticipated World Igbo Cultural and Heritage Summit set to make its grand debut, bringing together prominent figures from Igbo-speaking regions across the globe. The inaugural event, which promises to be a landmark gathering, is geared towards celebrating the Igbo people’s rich heritage and vibrant culture.

The committee to be inaugurated includes notable figures such as Apostle Patrick Nwanze (Chairman); Prof. Adaobi Ugbomeh (Secretary); Engr. Prof. E. Anazia (Vice Chairman); Ogbuefi Enenya (Finance Secretary); Prof. Julie Umukoro (Head of Culture Committee); Dr. Moses Ifeanyi (Head of Marketing/Sponsorship); Ogbuefi Chukuemeka Ifeanyi (UK Coordinator); Hon. Dr. Kenneth Gbandi (Diaspora General Coordinator); Hon. NnamidiOnyebuyia (Head Compliance Officer); Hon. Chief Lady UcheEzejioha (Assistant Compliance Officer); Prof. Esther Oweleke (Head of Language); Chief Gabriel Okoye (Head of Media & Communication); Barr. Sir Chuks Nnalugha (Head Legal); Chief ChuksIbegbu (CEO); Hon. Maureen Ashara (Lagos Women Cordinator); Amb. Philip Robert (Tourism); Chief Leonard Okafor (Head of Traditional Team Anambra); among others.

According to Nwanze, the summit aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Igbo cultural practices, language, tourism opportunities, and historical narratives. This initiative seeks to preserve and promote Igbo heritage while encouraging dialogue and collaboration among Igbo people from different parts of the world.

Nwanze reiterated that the summit would represent a significant step toward uniting Igbo-speaking communities and preserving their cultural legacy for future generations.
