‘Sariki Hausa’ Calls For Level Playing Field For All Political Parties

The Sariki Hausa, or leader of the Hausa community, in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta state, Alhaji Muhammed Isiaka has advocated for a level playground for all the candidates in today’s election.

The Muslim cleric, who made the call in a chat with journalists, at Issele Uku shortly before the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally, said that it was crucial for all the candidates, irrespective of party affiliation, to enjoy an enabling environment throughout the campaign period.

He stressed that democratic practice everywhere in the world was played according to the rules in order to promote its ideals and fair play to everyone.

Alhaji Isiaka maintained that even though he is a member of the APC, he would continue to pray to God for candidates of any of the political parties who would work for the interest and welfare of the down-trodden in society.

He affirmed that even if the APC didn’t campaign, “people already know the party to be voted,” just as he added that his people are law-abiding and peace-loving citizens.

Concluding, Alhaji Muhammed appealed to the state government to put every necessary arrangement in place that would promote a peaceful atmosphere throughout the Election Day.
