AHEAD of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) national election on July 14, there were indications that the Udu branch has adopted Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN and Lawrence Ayewa Esq as president and assistant publicity secretary respectively.
The adoption of the duo was sequel to a motion moved by Esiri Jaho Esq which was seconded by C.D.S. Omon-Irabor Esq.
Earlier in a motion moved by Patrick Mekako, Esq and seconded by Ese Evbierhurhoma Esq, the branch adopted Lawrence Ayewa Esq as assistant publicity secretary candidate.
Udu branch then called on members to massively mobilise and vote for both candidates in the forthcoming NBA National election.
In his speech, John E. Odohisi Esq, chairman of the branch, noted that “Osigwe has distinguished himself in legal practice and as a cerebral leader, will take NBA to an enviable height.
Odohisi also extolled Ayewa, noting that he served creditably as secretary of Udu branch, adding that “I have no doubt that his abilities will be most useful at the national body.
According to him “Osigwe has proven to be a special leader. We are convinced he will be an asset to the NBA at national level, just as he has been to the branch”.
On Ayewa, he said “having served Udu branch in different capacities, he has what it takes to make an impact at the national level.”
