Oborevwori Nominates Six Deltans For Commissionership Position

  • Appoints Special Advisers

The Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has nominated the immediate past Chairman, Ika South local government, Mr. Sunday Tataobuozogwu and five others for appointment as Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council (SEC).

The governor’s intent was contained in a letter he forwarded to the State House of Assembly seeking the State legislators’ approval for the appointment of the nominees.

In the letter, which was read at yesterday’s Plenary, the Governor also named the immediate past member representing Udu State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Uviejitobir as part of the nominees.

Other nominees, according to the Governor’s letter include; Barr. Val Arenyenka, Barr. Trakiriowei Harry ThankGod, Ebikeme Clark and Okocha Nduka Benjamin.

All nominees have been asked to submit 35 copies of their curriculum vitae to the office of the Acting Clerk of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Otto Aghoghophia on or before Wednesday, July 17 and appear for screening on Thursday, July 18, this year.

Meanwhile, the Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the appointment of six new Special Advisers. The newly appointed advisers are Hon George Oyefia, Mr. Johnbull Edema, Hon Matthew Opuoru, Hon Ramsey Onoyake, Mr. Toyin Agbolayah, and Chief Jite Brown.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu.

The statement also mentioned that the date for the swearing-in ceremony of the new Special Advisers will be announced in due course.
