Transition Committee Chairman Restates Commitment To Soludo’s Transformation Agenda

THE Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Mr. Shedrack Azubuike has pledged his total commitment towards the improvement of the condition of schools and healthcare centres in all the 15 communities of Orumba South Local Government Area.

This, he said, is in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s transformation agenda on education and healthcare delivery in the state.

Speaking during his visit to Community High School Umunze, Victory High School Ezira, All Saints Secondary School Umunze, Community Secondary School Nawfija, Government Technical College Umunze as well as New Bethel Secondary School Isulo, Azubuike extolled Governor Soludo for providing quality education for students of the state, assuring  that he will toe the line of the state governor.

He commended an illustrious sons of Umunze, Chief Arinze Onwuzulike for funding the ongoing renovation of a science laboratory at the Community High School, Umunze, calling on other affluent citizens to emulate him.

The management and teachers of the schools, including Mr. Ajulu Okechi, Mrs. Felicia Ilodiba, Mrs. FideliaIfediba and Comrade Hyacinth Madumere, enumerated some of the challenges facing their schools, while thanking Azubuike for promising to address the needs of their schools, especially to renovate a classroom block at the Victory Secondary School, Ezira and provision of school uniforms for the students, among others.

In a related development, the Orumba South Transition Committee Chairman, Mr. Azubuike has embarked on inspection of Primary Healthcare Centres in the area with a view to improving the health conditions of the people.

Azubuike who visited the Primary Health Post, Nawfija, Isulo Health Centre as well as the Ezira Health Post where he presented cash gifts to some nursing mothers, assured that he will key into Governor Soludo’s efforts in repositioning government hospitals by ensuring that Primary Healthcare  Centres in Orumba South receive adequate attention.

Medical personnel in the various hospitals, such as Mr. Edna Otauta, Mr. NnekaIbe and Mrs Ndidi Epunam, described Azubike as a compassionate leader.
