The member representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen Ned Nwoko, has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for upholding his promise to conduct credible local government elections in the state.
Sen Nwoko, commended Governor Oborevwori while also congratulating the chairmen and councillors in the Delta North Senatorial District on their victory in the July 13 local government elections.
He also lauded the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC), security agencies and other stakeholders on their roles towards a peaceful, free and fair election in the state.
Nwoko however, urged the local government chairmen and councillors to be magnanimous in victory, promote grassroots development, and inclusive governance and ensure that the dividends of democracy get to citizens.
