THE Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, carried out his first official function as he began his second term with the swearing-in of the 20 elected councillors n Ogwashi-Uku, headquarters of the council, with a pledge to work tirelessly to empower the needy and create opportunities for all.
“We believe that everyone deserves access to resources, education and healthcare. We will strive to build a more compassionate and equitable society, where no one is left behind. Let us work together to make a difference and create a brighter future for all”, Chukwunwike said, urging the seventh assembly of councillors to join him in making positive impact in Aniocha South.
The ceremony was conducted at the ultra-modern Legislative Complex Chukwunwike built during his first term.
The ceremony attracted leaders of various communities in the local government, including traditional rulers, party leaders and council staff.
He thanked Aniocha South people for coming out to witness such a peaceful event, adding that “it is my prayer and wish that we forge a strong unity amongst us for the growth and development of our dear council going forward”.
The councillors inaugurated into the seventh Legislative Assembly of Aniocha South were Greg Nnamdi Mukolu (Ward 1); Hon. Leonard Nzemeke, (Ward 2); Stephen Ezediuno, (Ward 3); Hon. Patrick Onyekanankea (Ward 4); Onwordi Frank (Ward 5) and Okonji Fidelis Okwuni (Ward 6).
Others are Hon. Patrick Elo Maduemezie (Ward 7); Uwandi Ngozi Timothy (Ward 8); Oyem Oluchukwu (Ward 9); Hon. Paul Brown Eze-Enweiwe (Ward 10); Ogidi Samuel Madueke (Ward 11); Omah David Ashikodi (Ward 12); Ubaga Hillary Isioma (Ward 13) and Ikeagwunachi Frank Chifum (Ward 14).
Also inaugurated at the ceremony are Okonkwo Amaechi Joy (Ward 15); Okpunor Fidelis (Ward 16); Okocha Uche Martins (Ward 17); Okputo Cecilia Chukwudumebi (Ward 18); Mordi Blessing Onyeka (Ward 19) and Odimegwu Obiageli Beauty (Ward 20).
