The Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Jaro Egbo has frowned at the dilapidating structure and unhealthy work environment in the council.
Addressing journalists while being conducted round the council, Egbo said, ‘’when you wake up in the morning, it is expected that you sweep your house, gather your refuse and throw them away. But I have done my findings here and seen otherwise.
“I did not find the working environment here conducive and it is not my style to work in a place that is dirty because if you work in such a place, you can hardly be productive.
“If you move round, you would hardly see a TV set. Televisions are not just luxury items but they are means of passing information. I did not see any IT office in this council. In this modern Nigeria, I did not see any IT office in the council because they still believe in the old typewriter. We will change all of that and be reckoned with.
“I am sure this is the only council that does not have a solar syastem. Most times, they are in darkness and we hope to change all of that.”
