Chidi Tasks Oshimili North Local Govt On Judicious Resource Mgt

A former Councilor and a community leader from Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Chidi Anthony, has called on the local government authority to ensure the transparent management of the monthly allocations inview of the recent judgement of the Supreme Court granting financial autonomy to the local governments.

Hon. Chidi who made the disclosure in a chat with The Pointer, declared that with the judgement, the financial allocations due to the local government now goes directly to them, hence there is no more room for excuses.

He advised the authorities of the local government to consolidate on the chairman’s development strides during his first tenure, but emphasized that more attention should be given to infrastructural development and security. The PDP chieftain maintained that efforts should be geared towards the promotion of peace and the spread of development programmes and projects across the various communities in Oshimili North, adding that peace is sinquanon to development.

In another development, the Ibusa born politician has expressed his appreciation to PDP faithful in Oshimili North for turning out enmass during the last local government election in the state to vote for the party’s candidates.

While congratulating the Chairman of the local government, Chief Innocent Esewezie for his re-election and successful inauguration for a second term, he admonished him to remain committed to the interest and welfare of the people by running an all-inclusive administration.

He equally congratulated the elected Councilors and called on them to give maximum support to the Hon. Esewezie led administration in order to transform Oshimili North and make it an envy to other local governments in the state.
