Ex-Militants Slam Attack On Delta Senator

Ex-militants, under the third-phase Amnesty program, have expressed dissatisfaction over an alleged media attack on Sen Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly by a leader of the Urhobo Youth Council (UYC).

The National Secretary, Onoriode Diyo, who spoke to reporters in Ughelli South Local Government Area, while reacting to the media attack by a leader of UYC, Mr. Peter Aghogho, who criticized the senator’s performance, described it as premature.

Diyo said: “A leader of the Urhobo Youth Council should stop the unnecessary attack on Sen Ede Dafinone who is the best material for the job of lawmaking. We have the confidence in him to do well in no distant time”.

He said “Dr Dennis Otuaro is a good listener who carried the entire ethnic group along and any person or group of persons can access him despite the ethnicity”, just as he called on the lawmaker to ignore faceless ex-militants.

The human rights activist urged the presidency and the Special Adviser on the Amnesty Program matter, Dr Dennis Otuaro to disregard Aghogho’s move to distract the senator’s agenda.
