The Executive Chairman of Ika North East, Hon. Monday Odigwe has charged the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors of the local government council to ensure that the welfare and needs of the people in the area becomes paramount in the discharged of their administrative duties.
Hon. Odigwe gave the charged during the official swearing -in ceremony of the appointed supervisory councillors at his office in OwaOyibu, the administrative Headquarters of Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
While commending them for their well-deserved appointments,he urged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the service of the local government council in human management and local government administration. He enjoined them towork harmoniously within the law frame which established the local government administration, noting that its only with harmonious working relationship by the supervisors with political and civil Servants of the local government council would they achieve the desired result oriented goals of his administration. As his administrative commitments, he said would continue to focused on Security, environmental Sanitation, human and infrastructural development, that he maintained would improve the lives and overall wellbeing of the people in the area.
The council boss further charged them not to be involved in any negative activities that could be inimical to the upliftment of the wellbeing of this current administration.
Urging them to ensure they work in synergy with the executive and the legislative arm of the local government council , adding that the door of his office is always open for them for consultation and advice on issues for smooth and effective running of the local government council.
Speaking further Hon. Odigwe told them to be guilded by the administrative Oaths of the local government council by ensuring to work diligently and conscientiously in the discharged of their various administrative duties.
Responding , Mr Stanley Ordih who spoke on behalf of his colleagues while thanking the Council Chairman and the leaders for the opportunity given to them to served in the local council.
Promised that they would collaborate their efforts in working together with the current administration to achieve a successful tenure and also in making Ika North East one among the best council area in the state and entire country.
