DPPC Mourns Passing Of Late Fidelis Ozonuwe

By Prisca Ogbo

THE management and staff of Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), publishers of The Pointer titles, have joined in mourning the death of a retired staff of the Corporation, Mr. Fidelis Ozonuwe, who passed away in July after a brief illness.

During a condolence visit to his home in Ibusa, the General Manager of the corporation, Mr. Godfrey Ubaka, described Mr. Ozonuwe as a  man of exemplary character, who served the company diligently and left lasting legacies that should be emulated by all. “We cannot question God”, Mr. Ubaka remarked. “We are here representing the office where he worked and to which he dedicated his all. He was full of life—a jovial and friendly person who continued to visit the office regularly even shortly before his passing.”

Mr. Ubaka also recounted an instance that highlighted Mr. Ozonuwe’s integrity: “While he was in service, millions of naira were mistakenly paid into his account, but because of his dignity, he refused to spend a dime until the money was traced and refunded.”

Reflecting on his passing, Mr. Ubaka said, “His younger brother narrated to me what transpired in the hospital, and all I can say is that it was the will of God. He led a clean life and left a legacy for his family and community to build on. I have yet to hear a single negative remark about him.” “Mr. Ozonuwe served the establishment where he worked  in various capacities with diligence before his retirement,” Mr. Ubaka concluded.

In response to the GM’s remarks, the widow of late Mr. Ozonuwe, Mrs. Ozonuwe, expressed her gratitude to Mr. Ubaka for his kind words and prayed that the same grace the company had shown her family will be extended to everyone who took time to visit them during this difficult period.
