A new leadership has emerged to pilot the affairs of the legislative arm of Ika South Local Government, following the inauguration of the councillors after their victory in the July 13 Local Government elections.
Consequently, Mrs. Gloria Aboh, representing Ward 8, was elected as the Leader of the 7th Assembly in an event conducted by the Chairman of the Local Government, Engr Jerry Ehiwarior.
In her inaugural speech, Mrs Aboh expressed gratitude to the people of Ward 8 for finding her worthy to serve. She especially appreciated Chief Peter Idion, the Adolor Dein of Agbor kingdom for his support, which she said, was instrumental in ensuring her emergence as a councillor.
Furthermore, she appreciated her husband for his unwavering support. She pledged to use her office to address the needs of the people and take the community to higher heights of development.
