A group, The Active Generation has held an annual get-together at Unor Afia in Idumuje Unor, Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State.
It was attended by members across the 10 federal wards in Aniocha North Local Government Area and was a significant moment for the group, celebrating not only the progress made in 2024, but also looking forward to the future.
While addressing the audience, the founder of Active Generation, Mr. Kidochukwu Mohanye, who served as the Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Mobilisation, also addressed the attendees.
In his speech, Mr. Mohanye highlighted the group’s impressive achievements since its inception in 2023, noting that Active Generation has made substantial strides in the areas of empowerment, employment, and skill acquisition.
He said that these initiatives have had a profound impact on the local community, creating opportunities for many young people to develop their skills, access employment, and improve their livelihoods.
Meanwhile, conveyers of the meeting recognised the 18 beneficiaries of Active Generation’s influence on various programs, adding that these individuals, who had received training, support, or financial assistance throughout the year, were called out for proper accountability.
Mohanye underscored the group’s commitment to transparency and ensuring that its initiatives would deliver real results for its members across various communities in Aniocha North local government and beyond.
Mohanye commended those who supported the group, with numerous individuals who acknowledged their invaluable support in making the event a success and special thanks were extended to key figures such as Mr. Daniel Isichei, also known as the “Mayor of the East,” Mr. Alex Ohaegbunem, Mr. Matthew Okwuokei, Mr. Ifeanyi Okonkwo, Mrs. Moemeke, Mr. Emmanuel Ugbo, Mrs. Chioma Egobudike, Mrs. Evi Chinye, Dr. Prosper Okwuenu, Mrs. Favour Okenye, Mrs. Bajeh, Mr. Godwin Onweazu, Mr. Friday Odum, and many others.
