LAWYERS have been told to ensure that their practice is in tune with the 21st century as the legal profession has gone digital and is now technologically inclined.
The Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN stated this in Asaba when the members of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum Ogwashi-Uku chapter, paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Asaba. Represented by the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Omamuzo Erebe, the Attorney – General, also enjoyed lawyers to always be diligent in their practice in order to excel.
Ohwovoriole stated that the era of a one-man chamber has gradually faded away, stating that diligence should be the hallmark of any legal practitioner, whether in government or private practice.
He reiterated the Ministry’s determination to carry all stakeholders, particularly all the branches of the NBA in the State in the scheme of things, adding that the women lawyers in the Ministry of Justice were good ambassadors of the Forum as they had been discharging the duties creditably.
Earlier, the facilitator of NBA Women Forum, Ogwashi-Uku chapter, Mrs. I. E Ochei informed the Attorney-General that they were in his office to introduce themselves and to solicit for the Ministry’s support in their planned events for the year.
