Adjarho-Imonijeta Donates N1m To 70 Widows In Uduophori

OVER 70 widows in Uduophori Community in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State were in joyful mood as one of their illustrious sons, Chief Willingson Adjarho-Imonijeta donated N1m to them to cushion the effect of hardship occasioned by flood in the area.

Presenting the money to the widows, Chief Adjarho-Imonijeta said the gesture was in line with the human capital development of the MORE Agenda of the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and to cushion the effects of the 2024 flood on the beneficiaries.

The 2024 flood, which affected some coastal communities in Delta State left devastating impact on Uduophori Federated Community in Patani Local Government Area.

The flood submerged houses and farmlands in Uduophori Community destroying means of livelihood that led to hardship amongst many residents.

Moved by the plight of the flood victims, an illustrious son of the community, Chief Willingson Adjarho-Imonijeta distributed N1m cash to the 70 widows affected in the community.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the donor, Chief Adjarho-Imonijeta expressed his empathy over the ravaging impact of the 2024 flood in the community.

While saying the gesture was done in line with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Chief Adjarho-Imonijeta advised the widows not to lose hope.

The President-General of Uduophori Federated Community, Chief Thank God Ado commended Chief Willingson Adjarho-Imonijeta for his generosity and commitment to welfare of the indigenes and development of the community.

The Councillor representing the Uduophori Ward 20 at the Legislative Arm of Patani Local Government, Hon Grace Avwerhoba hailed the compassion of Chief Adjarho-Imonijeta towards humanity in line with the MORE Agenda of the state government.

The beneficiaries including Mama Correct Edoja who were overwhelmed with joy, expressed their appreciation to Chief Adjarho-Imonijeta for the gesture, saying the money will cushion the impact of the flood.
