Again, a 23-year-old boy simply identified as Samson has allegedly stabbed his mother to death in Obiaruku, Delta State for daring to challenge him for smoking Indian hemp as early as 5am.
Recall that just a week ago, a 28-year old boy suspected to be mentally sick hacked his father to death while the father was in deep sleep at Okpare town in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The latest incident occurred at Obiaruku in Delta State in the early hours of the day.
According to the source, “Samson was initially sent to Asaba, the capital of Delta State to learn a trade after completing his secondary school but was brought back a few months ago to Obiaruku when his condition deteriorated after taking to drug in addition to his mental condition.
“When he was brought back”, the source said his mother took him to a traditional healing home for mentally deranged patients.
“The mother in her late 50s came outside and saw her son, Samson smoking and perhaps might have shouted at him which provoked him to rush inside and bring a knife, stabbing the mother until she bled to death.
Delta State Police spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report saying that the suspect was arrested and now in custody.
