CHIEFTAINS of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, including Olorogun (Senator) Emmanuel Edesiri Aguariavwodo and Olorogun (Barr.) Fred Majemite, have affirmed the acceptability of PDP in Delta State, as the only party that can deliver the true dividends of democracy to the peoples.
Aguariavwodo, in a chat with Journalists monitoring the local government elections, thanked the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for ensuring that the process is free and fair and for allowing a level playground for all parties in line with the MORE Agenda of his administration.
Senator Aguariavwodo, maintained that the process has given more credibility to the Governor especially in fulfilment of his campaign promises.
Olorogun Aguariavwodo, a former Managing Director of the NDCC, a former senator and now, the Senior Political Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, stated that the envisaged victory of the party and the acceptability by the masses during the campaigns and also being replicated during the elections, is a clear indicator that Deltans have spoken in one voice.
“As you all know, Delta State is PDP and PDP is Delta State”.
Also, on his part, Olorogun Fred Majemite, a philanthropist and a former commissioner in Delta State, while addressing journalists at his Ekiugbo-Ughelli unit, noted that the PDP is a party that is loved and well embraced by Deltans.
He expressed his happiness and confidence in the party, stating that the PDP actually worked hard to achieve victory, as the party massively campaigned in Ughelli North Local Government from ward to ward and around the nooks and crannies. He said the result of its hard work and people oriented policies is the large turnout of voters that defies the heavy downpour to queue behind the party and that is why you can see me in the voting unit here.
“I am very optimistic that this will transcend to 2027 when the Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori will come for his second term. He will definitely win everywhere in Ughelli.”
He thanked and welcomed the oppositions that have come to reality of the fact, noting that all of us are brothers and one family.
