A suspect found with fresh human head was set ablaze by angry mob in Otor-Owhe community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Information gathered revealed that the suspect, identified as Oghenero, who is an indigene of the community, was the son of a retired police officer, one Omokomo Ojayanso and had since resided in the community before the incident happened.
A reliable source, who pleaded to remain anonymous, disclosed that the incident happened recently as the suspect was seen riding on his bike with a blood stained cutlass and a black cellophane from which blood was dripping, adding that the sight aroused the curiosity of the people who had lately noticed signs of mental unstableness about the suspect.
Although, at first, the people felt the suspect went on a hunting and the blood stain was from the animal he killed, but the contrary was discovered after he got to his house.
It was stated further that when he was trailed to his apartment, the door was locked and several efforts made for him to open the door met a dead end.
Meanwhile, tension built up as a crowd gathered and forcefully pulled down the door to behold the suspect and the head of a woman on the floor.
However, The Pointer correspondent learnt that the beheaded woman was from a neighboring community, Emevor/Orogun and she went to the farm in company of her friend when they were attacked by the assailant, but fortunately, the other woman escaped.
Before the police arrived at the scene, jungle justice has been meted on the suspect by the aggrieved community youths over the alleged tragic act.
At the time of this report, police authority was yet to react to the incident.
