Anioma Professionals To Synergise With LG Chairmen, Councilors On Devt

Members of the Association of Anioma Professionals (APA), a non-political and non-governmental body of Delta North district, has attributed the peaceful conduct and election of chairmen and councilors in the nine local government areas of Delta North, and the the state in general, to the transparent leadership style of the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

They expressed willingness to work with the elected politicians for the development and betterment of the local government areas in the district.

The position is contained in a release jointly issued on behalf of the association by its President-General and retired Permanent Secretary, Mr. Peter Nkenchor and Secretary-General, Sir Philip Ulakatu (KSTL), while celebrating the elected local government chairmen on their victories. They remarked that though the association was not a political body, it however, has members that have served and still serving the state in different capacities, adding that they also participated and observed the election. He explained that it was on that strength that they were lauding the governor and all stakeholders, especially those of Anioma extraction for their roles in ensuring peaceful elections in their various communities. They also commended members of the police force and other relevant security agencies for a job well done.

The Anioma Professional Association reminded the elected charimen and councilors of the need to be focused and remain committed to the discharge of their duties, and to carry everyone along, especially those at the grassroots.

They said that the people can benefit only when they participate in governance and expressed their disposition to partner with the local government chairmen and councilors.
