BUT for the quick responses from well-meaning individuals and fire fighters from the state fire service, Wednesday night, another fire disaster which would have occurred at Fidelity Bank, along Old Lagos-Asaba Road, Boji-Boji Owa, would have been recorded.
The fire incident is coming barely two months after a fire incident which occurred January 5, 2025, that claimed lives and property worth millions of naira, still along the Old Lagos-Asaba Road.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Ika South Local Government, Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior and his Ika North East counterpart, Hon. Monday Odigwe, who were on ground to ensure that the fire was completely put out, appreciated the efforts of the fire service and individuals, who made themselves available to ensure that the fire did not escalate.
In their reactions, some residents of Agbor, commended the two local government chairmen for their quick response to the distress calls. They also appreciated God as no life was lost.
