Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has ordered the immediate payment of compensation to property owners on the right of way to the six lane access road to the Asaba Waterfront City being executed by the state government.
The Governor gave the order today while inspecting the six lane access road project being constructed by North China Construction Company.
Oborevwori disclosed that money for the compensation has long been released by his administration and wondered why owners of property on the right of way have not been paid.
He, therefore, directed the State Ministry of Works (Highway and Urban Roads) to liaise with the two estate valuers that valued the affected property with a view to ensuring that they (property owners) were compensated before the end of this month (January, 2025)
