ENCOMIUMS and felicitations have been pouring in since Prof. Epiphany Azinge became the Asagba of Asaba-designate, with individuals and groups visiting to express support and solidarity with the new monarch.
The latest was the visit by the management of Dennis Osadebay University (DOU), Asaba was led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ben Oghajafor.
Addressing Prof. Azinge, the VC, Prof Oghojafor, described him as a detribalised Nigerian, academic colossus and a man that has his people at heart.
According to the VC, for the university and Asaba community, Azinge believed that development, equity, fairness and justice will be the mantra of his reign, considering the caliber of his personality.
The Asagba of Asaba-Designate, Obi Epiphany Azinge, who was delighted at the visit, expressed the view that Denise Osadebay University, Asaba will take its pride of place in the nearest future.
Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba was founded by Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa’s-led administration to immortalize the late Premier of Mid-Western Region, Chief Dennis Osadebay, who hailed from Asaba.
