FOLLOWING the election of Comrade Martins Bolum as the National Internal Auditor of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), the Delta State Chapter of the Union, yesterday, urged the newly elected official to ensure equitable representation at the national level.
Speaking at a celebratory meeting in Asaba, organized by the chapter’s leadership and members, Comrade Emeka David, Chairman of the ASCSN Unit at the Ministry of Water Resources, described Bolum’s national election victory as a testament to his hard work and unwavering dedication to the association.
He lauded Comrade Bolum’s exceptional leadership, expressing confidence in his ability to move the union forward. “You are taking Delta State to a place of pride, and we are very proud to have you at the national level. We believe it is in the best interest of the Union that you have been elevated,” he stated.
The union expressed confidence in Comrade Bolum’s ability to excel in his new role, describing it as a well-deserved achievement for a seasoned and dedicated civil servant.
The association pledged to continue working in synergy with him, to achieve the association’s objectives.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Bolum thanked the Delta State Chapter for their unwavering support and promised to work tirelessly to justify the trust placed in him. He pledged to bring his expertise and experience to his new role while ensuring transparency and accountability in the discharge of his duties to the association.
In his remarks, the immediate Past Chairman of ASCSN, Mr. Efenudu, noted that Bolum’s victory was a source of pride for the Delta State Chapter and the association as a whole. He emphasized that the chapter’s commitment to producing leaders who can make a positive impact at the national level is evident in this achievement.
“I am very glad that Delta has a good representative at the national level. It is a rare feat in the Labour Congress to move from the state to the national executive. His emergence is a significant win for Delta State in the struggle,” he remarked.
