Breaking: Another Fire Outbreak In Delta

  • Goods, Vehicles Worth Million Consumed

It was indeed a sad day for residences and shop owners in Uromi junction axis in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, who were counting their losses as goods worth millions of naira were consumed by fire as a result of fire explosion from a truck conveying natural gas that fell in a deep pothole in Uromi junction, Agbor.

An eye witness account (name withheld), said that the fire incident occurred at about 6:20am this morning, when a truck conveying natural gas to the northern part Nigeria fell along the deplorable Uromi road and explode.

According to the eye witness no life was loss but shops were razed down from the inferno, three Toyota sienna cars and a Toyota bus parked for sale from a Car Dealer shop along the new Lagos/ Asaba Express ways were engulfed by the fire.

Sympathizers commended efforts of the Delta State Fire service, who responded on time to curtain the fire incident.

As at the time of filling this report, men of the Nigeria Police were on ground to maintain law and order, and to help control the traffic.

Recall that properties worth several millions of naira were destroyed in an inferno that engulfed the Nupe line section of Igbudu market in Warri, Delta State, Wednesday.

The cause of the inferno was not immediately known but a source disclosed the fire started at about 11 am during a rain fall.

It was gathered that no life was lost but goods worth several millions of naira were destroyed by fire in the building which served as parking stores, shops and residential apartments.
