Breaking: Oborevwori Inaugurates New Head of Service, DPPC Chairman

By Patrick Mgbodo

Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has just inaugurated the new state Head of Service, Dr (Mrs) Mininim Oseji and the Chairman of the Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), Pastor Austin Igbine.

During the inauguration at the Government House in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori underscored the mandate of the civil service as implementors of government policies, projects and programmes.

Governor Oborevwori reiterated his commitment towards the development of the state civil service to become more efficient, even as he tasked civil servants to keep abreast with the policy direction of the State Government.

He counselled civil servants to have an attitudinal change and see themselves as an integral part of the government rather than alienating themselves from the governance process.

While congratulating Pastor Igbine on his appointment, Governor Oborevwori expressed confidence in him and charged him to consolidate the legacies of his predecessor, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu.

“I expect that The Pointer will attain new heights in editorial quality, production excellence, improved advertising and marketing, bigger circulation, as well as enhanced digital operations under his (Igbeni) leadership” Governor Oborevwori said.

The Governor further seized the opportunity of the occasion to reassure Deltans of his efforts to ensure a safer state, even as he called for more support for security agencies.

…More details later.
