The Delta State Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, along with his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme and his wife, Her Excellency Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, joined in felicitating the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr. Victor Udi, and his wife, Mrs. Mabel, as they dedicated their twin children to the service of the Lord.
The dedication thanksgiving took place yesterday in Asaba, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (Desire of All Nations).
After the joyous celebration, Mrs. Onyeme congratulated the couple on their two little miracles, highlighting that double blessings double the joy.
The church service was presided over by Pastor Caleb Adebite, who encouraged Christians to be thoughtful in recognizing that children are gifts from the Heavenly Father.
He emphasized the responsibility of earthly parents to love, cherish, teach, and lead their children to eternal life.
Praying over the couple and their children, Pastor Caleb stressed the importance of acknowledging that God is the giver of children and that parents should seek Him before making decisions concerning them.
He prayed, that the couple would have the wisdom to take charge and care for the children entrusted to them. He also urged all parents and grandparents to surrender to God first and trust Him to guide their children in His ways.
The thanksgiving celebration was attended by top government dignitaries, both past and present.
