A non-political body known as Onyeayananwanne Social Club of Nigeria has said that it will continue to identify with responsible individuals found worthy of emulation within the society and ready to contribute to the development of the community.
The assertion was made recently by the Chairman and founder of the club, Chief Awele Akaeze during the official investiture/installation of a prominent community leader in Ibusa and renowned politician, Hon. Austin Chukwudi Nnabuife (Ojeogbue) held at his country home at Umuesugo Ezukwu, Ibusa recently.
Chief Akaeze, who spoke through his Secretary-General, Mr. Stephen Chukwudi described the social club as non-tribal and comprising able-bodied young and talented men contributing towards the socio-economic development of the state and country at large.
The chairman said that the club was formed with the idea to bring its members together as well as engage in ways of assisting one another financially and otherwise, adding that the reason for choosing Hon. Austin Nnabuife as their Patron was because he surpassed all the other proposed persons earlier recommended.
Chief Akaeze, maintained that the social club had so far established other branches in Lagos with plans to do same in Port-Harcourt and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In a separate interview, the Secretary-General of the club, Mr. Stephen Chidi maintained that the club, which had its headquarters in Ibusa, was open for all persons who must be responsible and with a means of livelihood.
He commended the Patron of the club for accepting their request describing him as a very distinguished and committed indigene of Ibusa.
Responding, the newly decorated Patron of the club, Hon. Austin Nnabuife, in company of his wife, Caroline and other members of his household and political associates, commended the club for finding him worthy to be their Patron and assured them that he will always be by them with support at all times.
