THE Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Ibusa General Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Ebom, has issued a call to the Delta State Government for urgent intervention to address the hospital’s critical shortage of manpower.
Dr. Ebom said this during the enrollment exercise of 1000 persons into the Indigent Enrollee Adoption initiative (IEAI) programme organs the Obinwaokocha Okeze Foundation in Ibusa.
According to Dr. Ebom, while addressing Pressmen, emphasized that bolstering the workforce in the hospital is essential to improving healthcare delivery and meeting the growing demands of the Ibusa community
He noted that the hospital’s patient load has been steadily increasing due to the growing population in Ibusa and its surrounding areas.
“With more residents relying on our services, we need adequate personnel to deliver timely and effective healthcare, because we only have five doctors including myself attending to over 50 patients a day which is overwhelming to us. he added.
Dr. Ebom while Applauding the government efforts in the health sector, however noted that the limited man power at the hospital is overshadowed by the population of the community.
He urged the government to take swift action to ensure that healthcare facilities like Ibusa General Hospital are equipped to serve their communities adequately, as he reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality healthcare despite the challenges.
