Defection: Grassroots Mobilser, Osondu Attracts Gains For PDP In Obikwele

A renowned youth leader and grassroots mobilser, Comrade Harrison Osondu has intensified moves to deflate opposition political parties in Ndokwa East Local Goverment Area of Delta State, resulting in the decamp of several staunch members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

As part of the moves, Comrade Osondu reached out to some notable APC members in Obikwele community, who appreciated his moves and agreed to dump their party for the PDP.

Consequently, the PDP in Obikwele under the leadership of Chief Dr Austin Agadi Ajeh, together with the PDP Vice Chairman for Ndokwa East, Abuanekwu Uche, the PDP Ward Chairman, Linus Ofuezum, the Councilor representing Ward Two, Anifite Randy Ifeanyi, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilisation, Hon Nzekwe Chijioke Peter, the Supervisor for Finance/Budget, Ndokwa East Local Government, Comrade Ajie Kingsley Chibuxor, the Ward party Secretary, Woman Leader, and other leaders stormed Obikwele to welcome the APC members back to the PDP.

Presenting the decamped to the political leaders, Comrade Osondu revealed that more than 60 of them from the four quarters of the community, who were seated according to their quarters, made the list.

He named the quarters as Mumkagbo, Umueboh, Umuanukwu and Umuezekere, adding that they were all convinced that the PDP is where they can get political benefits.
According to Comrade Osondu, it was a delight to have such a number of individuals from the APC back to the PDP, stressing that some of them were earlier deceived by sweet-coated tongue campaigners of the APC but have since realized their mistakes.

The youth mobilser appealed to the leadership of the party in the ward, local government and state levels to accord the new members desired recognition and comfort, contending that the party was big enough to take them and many others that were on their way to join.

He disclosed that his efforts and achievements were made possible through the support and good working relationship with Chief Dr Ajeh and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Chief Emeka Obaje who supported and sustained all his movements.
While welcoming the decampees, made up of men, women and youths, the leader of PDP in Ward 2, Chief Dr Austin Ajeh, and the Ward Chairman, assured them of equal opportunities with other members.
