ParticipantS drawn from various government boards and parastatals, rising from a  recent training exercise organized by the Delta State Public Procurement Commission (DSPPC), issued a communiqué pledging to apply the knowledge acquired in ensuring best practices in procurement, in line with the central theme “Promoting The MORE Agenda Through Modern Public Procurement Practices.”

Director-General of Delta State Public Procurement Commission, Mr. Anthony Jibunma, welcoming the participants to the workshop at Prof. Chike Edozien Secretariat, Asaba, said the Commission is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that no one is left behind with regards to the demands and expectations of modern procurement practice and processes.

Jibunma recalled that the Delta State Public Procurement Law was signed by the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori when he was the Speaker, saying that as Speaker of the House of Assembly, the incumbent Governor was passionate about it and rallied the legislators in ensuring that it sees the light of day.
