The General Overseer of House of Gladtidings Mission International, Bishop Prince Edugbo has applauded the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his “transformational and people-focused administration” that is delivering results across the state.
The Bishop made this commendation during a service at the church’s headquarters in Asaba, where worshippers gathered to reflect on the state’s progress under the Oborevwori-led government.
“This is the Delta we prayed for,” Bishop Edugbo proclaimed to a rapt audience. “The MORE Agenda is not just a slogan—it is a living reality. From road infrastructure to rural development, water access and educational reform, Governor Oborevwori is proving what visionary leadership can accomplish.”
The cleric highlighted several major projects that have reshaped the state’s landscape under Oborevwori’s administration, which include over ₦77.9 billion worth of flyovers and road networks across Warri, Effurun, and Uvwie, 76 solar-powered water projects completed across rural communities, establishment of Special Agricultural Economic Zones expected to generate over 50,000 jobs, launch of new model schools and the Delta State College of Medical Sciences, Ozoro, rehabilitation of heritage tourism sites, including Mungo Park House and Lander Brothers Anchorage, prompt payment of civil service wages, including minimum wage and others.
“These achievements speak for themselves,” the bishop noted. “The government is not only building roads but building hope. It is not just providing water but restoring dignity. It is not just paying salaries but respecting the value of work.”
Beyond commendation, Bishop Edugbo issued a clarion call for unity, urging faith leaders, traditional rulers, youth, and civil society to support the administration’s vision.
“Progress must be defended. This is not the time for indifference or cynicism. Every citizen has a role to play in sustaining peace and deepening development.”
He also encouraged continued prayers for the governor and his team, stressing that the Church remains a critical partner in promoting moral integrity, civic engagement and community development.
“Leadership thrives when surrounded by faith, wisdom, and a cooperative citizenry. We will continue to uphold our leaders in prayer and partnership.”
As the service concluded with intercessory prayers for the state, Bishop Edugbo’s message resounded far beyond the pulpit—a reminder that Delta is not only changing physically but spiritually realigning behind a common dream of prosperity, peace and purpose.
