THE People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Delta State Chapter has commiserated with the family and the entire people of Ughelli South Local Government Area on the passing on of an esteemed leader, the former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Prof. Amos Utuama SAN.
Prof. Utuama was known for his exceptional leadership and contributions to Delta State’s development since 1999 and has left an indelible mark. As Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General from 1999 to 2007, he demonstrated remarkable intelligence and professionalism.
This was contained in a statement signed by the PDP State Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, and the State Publicity Secretary, Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu in Asaba, Delta State, yesterday.
The letter read in part: ”His tenure as Deputy Governor from 2007 to 2015 was characterized by humility and unwavering loyalty to the Governor and the people of Delta State.
“A distinguished academician and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Prof. Utuama’s impeccable record in public service, private practice, and academia inspires us all. His dedication to the PDP was unwavering until his passing.
“We will forever cherish his remarkable achievements and legacy.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, the people of Ughelli South local government and the entire Delta State.
“May God grant his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace” .
