Delta Speaker Harps On Conducive Work Environment For Lawmakers

BY ANDREW IKEHI

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, has restated his resolve to provide a conducive work environment for lawmakers and staff of the State Legislature.

Rt Hon Guwor stated this recently while inspecting ongoing rehabilitation work in the administrative building of the Assembly at the State Assembly Complex in Asaba, the state capital.

Flanked by the Clerk of the House, Mr Otto Aghoghophia, some management staff and labour union leaders, Guwor expressed joy that the long-standing issue of the central cooling systems in the facility has been resolved.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke after the inspection of the facility, the Speaker explained that the rehabilitation work is not just about physical infrastructure, but creating a comfortable working atmosphere that fosters productivity, collaboration, and effective governance.

“As we continue to work towards the development of our dear Delta State, we must ensure that our infrastructure supports our goals. This rehabilitation work is a step in the right direction, and I look forward to seeing its positive impact on our work”, Guwor stated.

The Speaker commended the staff for their patience and urged them to remain focused and continue to work towards improved productivity.

At the various offices in the facility, staff were thrilled and grateful to the Speaker for attending to their concerns over the non-functioning central cooling system in the building. They expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s leadership and efforts in addressing critical infrastructure needs in the Assembly Complex.
